Is an English test required?

Yes, an applicant can take either IELTS (International English Language Testing System), PTE (Pearson Test of English) or TOEFL (the Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Can I start my application with TLG–The Linkages Group even without submitting a qualifying English test result yet?

Yes, TLG-The Linkages Group sponsors the IELTS training program of qualified applicants.

Can I work in Australia during my study?

A student can work a maximum of 20 hours per week during his/her study period.

Do you assist in finding employment and accommodation?

No.

Can I bring my spouse or *de facto partner with me to Australia?

Yes.

*A de facto relationship, under the Australia Family Law Act 1975, is defined as a relationship between two people (who are not legally married or related by family) who, having regard to all of the circumstances of their relationship, lived together on a genuine domestic basis.

Can my partner work in Australia?

Yes. Your partner will have the same work rights as yours. If you are taking a masters program in Australia, your partner will be eligible for full-time work.

What happens after I finish my two-year study?

A student will be eligible to apply for a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) when he/she finishes his/her program. The visa provides full work rights and is valid for 2-3 years.

Will TLG – The Linkages Group be able to finance my move to Australia?

Yes.
